Track work on Brisbane City and the Gold Coast Line

Due to Cross River Rail construction works, all Airtrain services to and from Brisbane City and the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Roma Street and Banoon stations from Monday 30^th June to Friday 4^th July 2025.

Before travelling we recommend you plan your journey using the Translink journey planner, find your station’s rail replacement bus stop location, and allow extra travel time for your journey. For more information on this service impact click here to visit the Translink website or call 13 12 30.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch all stops train to Banoon station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport. Alternatively, you can also catch a rail bus to Roma Street station for a connecting train to the Airport.
  • The trains will be operating on altered timetable from Varsity Lakes to Banoon stations. Please plan your journey using the Translink journey planner.
• Brisbane City travel:
  • • If you are travelling from South Brisbane, South Bank and Boggo Road/Park Road stations, catch a train (Shorncliffe or Ferny Grove line) to Roma Street station for a connecting train to the Airport.
• All other services are not impacted.

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch the train to Eagle Junction station for an express rail bus to Banoon station for a connecting all stops train to your destination. Alternatively, catch a train to Roma Street station where customers will disembark and travel by rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination.
• Brisbane City travel:
  • • If you are travelling to South Brisbane, South Bank and Boggo Road/Park Road stations, change trains (Cleveland line or Boggo Road/Park Road train) from Roma Street station to your destination.
• All other services are not impacted.

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to   you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
