Rosé and Champagne Pop-up | 11 Mar, 8 Apr, 6 Jun

Brisbane Ice Cream Festival | 18 Mar – 3 Apr
Who doesn’t love ice cream? Billed as both the hottest AND coolest Brisbane autumn event, the Brisbane Ice Cream Festival is back for its 5th year of celebrating everyone’s favourite treat. Held at the Peter’s Ice Cream Factory Precinct at West Village, it’s delicious fun for the whole family.
Neverland Pop-up | 23 Mar – 8 May
If you have ever wanted to visit Neverland, Brisbane offers you the chance to get swept away in the magical land of Peter Pan. BrisAsia Festival | March, various dates
Mixing food, fun, and offerings from a range of Asian backgrounds, the BrisAsia festival celebrates connection through culture. Originally scheduled for February, the events are now being held throughout March, giving visitors the chance to experience the diversity and magic of Asian cultures.
World Science Festival | 9 – 20 Mar
Science spectacles to amaze the whole family – what’s not to love? Get hands on with the World Science Festival in various locations around Brisbane during the month of March. There are a variety of activities, installations, and events to discover all around the city.

Watch the Tour de Brisbane, see the AusCycling Track National Championships, visit Festival Village and the Active Lifestyle Expo, and gear up for the Oceania Championships.

If you’re in the mood to move, the Medibank FeelGood Programs at Southbank have something for everyone. Choose from a range of 14 activities held each week, that cover a range of interests and ability levels. The Brisbane Powerhouse goes back in time this autumn to immerse children in a world of prehistoric animals. The theatrical performance features animals from land and sea, educating and inspiring the audience with unforgettable entertainment.
QAGOMA Children’s Art Programs | Mar – Apr
Get your kids started early with the incredible art programs offered by QAGOMA. With dates throughout March and April, children from 4 months to 5 years will be delighted with programs featuring song, dance, and art activities. Bookings are essential.
Getting Around in Brisbane City
Travel with Airtrain from the airport to Brisbane City within only 20 minutes. At the end of your journey you have a number of stops to choose from – Airtrain runs express from the airport, but stops at Fortitude Valley, Central, Roma Street, and South Brisbane stations, and continues on towards the Gold Coast if that’s your destination.
Brisbane is a beautiful city for walking, and many fantastic destinations are within an easy stroll along attractive walkways. To get to your destination faster or to see more of the sights, Brisbane is connected by an extensive bus network and the river is crisscrossed by the CityCat ferries.
All Brisbane public transport uses a smart card for travel, or you can purchase a paper ticket. Short term visitors should check out the go seeQ card, which allows you unlimited travel for 3 or 5 consecutive days on buses, trains, ferries, and trams. It also includes 2 Airtrain journeys to/from the Brisbane Airport. For longer stays, travel like the locals with a go card – just touch on at your station of departure and touch off when you arrive at your destination.
