Gold Coast Stations
If you’re looking to explore the wider Gold Coast area, Airtrain stops at all Gold Coast train stations, allowing you to get to where you need to go. Airtrain travels from Brisbane Airport to Varsity Lakes, including Ormeau, Coomera, Helensvale, Nerang, Robina, and Varsity Lakes stations.
Our trains leave at regular intervals, so you can catch an Airtrain every 15 minutes during peak times, and every 30 minutes during off-peak times. The journey is comfortable in our modern fleet of trains, with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, space for luggage, restrooms on board and LED screens to help you navigate your journey– making Airtrain the perfect way to get to the Gold Coast.
The G:link tram
The Gold Coast is famous for its beautiful beaches, with travellers flocking from all over to make the most of the white sand and sparkling water. To get you closer to the beach, Airtrain offers the option to go further with the G:link tram, which runs every 7.5 minutes in peak times.
After catching an Airtrain to Helensvale station, you can disembark and board the next tram which will take you to many stops on the way to the sand, including Parkwood, Parkwood East, Gold Coast University Hospital, Griffith University, Queen Street, Nerang Street, Southport, Southport South, Broadwater Parklands, Main Beach, Surfers Paradise North, Cypress Avenue, Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise, Northcliffe, Florida Gardens, Broadbeach North and Broadbeach South.
It’s an ideal choice to get you from the Brisbane Airport to the beach – and it’s all on one ticket, taking the hassle out of your travel.
AirtrainConnect
For a quality service that gets you right to your door, AirtrainConnect can take you exactly where you need to go. AirtrainConnect includes train travel, and then a chauffeured vehicle to deliver you to your destination between Sanctuary Cove and Coolangatta.
The Airtrain part of your journey runs express from Brisbane City and stops at all Gold Coast train stations; Coomera, Helensvale, Nerang, Robina, and Varsity Lakes. From there, we can arrange for a chauffeured vehicle to meet you and take you and all your luggage to any location between Sanctuary Cove and Coolangatta.
Bookings can be arranged by pre-booking online, over the phone, or at the Airtrain station when you arrive. Exclusive specials are available for advance purchasing and for family bookings, and we can arrange for child seats so your family can travel safely.
Booking your Trip with Airtrain
Regardless of what type of ticket you’d like, Airtrain offers a range of different booking options – either online, over the phone, or in person at the station. It pays to book ahead – we offer discounts for bookings made at least 7 days ahead, and plenty of flexibility in case your plans change. However, you can book all the way up to your moment of arrival by speaking to our staff at the Airtrain station.
Our ticket offices accept cash, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, JCB & UnionPay. You can also use PayWave at our Domestic Airport station. Online payment options include Visa, MasterCard, Amex and PayPal.
If you’d like the freedom to tap on and off at the station, you can travel with a tourist pass like the go seeQ smartcard. go seeQ is available from the Airtrain counters and stations, allows you unlimited travel for 3 or 5 consecutive days on buses, trains, ferries and trams, and also includes 2 Airtrain journeys to/from the Brisbane Airport. You can also use the go explore smartcard or a go card in combination with your Airtrain ticket to get around.
