Track work on the Gold Coast Line

All Airtrain services to and from the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Park Road and Varsity Lakes Stations on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December 2024. Rail Buses will replace trains in both directions.

Before travelling we recommend you plan your journey using the Translink journey planner, find your station’s rail replacement bus stop location, and allow extra travel time for your journey. For more information on this service impact click here to visit the TransLink website or call 13 12 30.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

  • Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch a rail replacement bus between Varsity Lakes and Park Road stations and transfer to a connecting train to the Airport station.
  • All other services are not impacted.

 

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

  • Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch a train to Park Road station and transfer to a rail replacement bus to travel between Park Road and Varsity Lakes stations.
  • All other services are not impacted.

 

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to   you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
