Track work on the Brisbane City and the Gold Coast Line
Due to Cross River Rail construction works, all Airtrain services to and from the Brisbane City and the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Eagle Junction and Bowen Hills stations and between Roma Street and Banoon stations on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January 2025.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport
- All trains from Eagle Junction will depart 12 minutes earlier than the normal timetable. Please click here to see the special timetable for this date.
- Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch ALL stops train to Banoon station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.

- Train will depart 5 minutes later between Varsity Lakes and Ormeau stations, 7 minutes later from Beenleigh station, 10 minutes later from Loganlea station and 15 minutes later from Altandi station than a normal timetable.
- Brisbane City travel:
- If you are traveling from Roma Street station, catch an express rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
- If you are traveling from Boggo Road/Park Road, Southbank and South Brisbane stations, catch the train (Ferny Grove or Shorncliffe line) to Bowen Hills station and transfer to the rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport. Alternatively, catch a train to Roma Street station for an express rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
- If you are traveling from Central and Fortitude Valley stations, catch the train (Ferny Grove or Shorncliffe line) to Bowen Hills station and transfer to the rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
- If you are traveling from Bowen Hills, Albion and Wooloowin stations, catch a rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
- Caboolture, Nambour and Sunshine Coast travel: This train will continue to Airport line, stay on board to travel to the Airport.
- Shorncliffe and Redcliffe Peninsula travel: Change trains at Northgate station to travel to the Airport.
- Doomben travel: This service terminates at Eagle Junction, change trains at Eagle Junction station.
- Ferny Grove travel: Catch the train to Bowen Hills station and transfer to a rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
- Cleveland, Springfield, Ipswich, and Rosewood travel: Catch a train to Bowen Hills station and transfer to the rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
Travelling from Brisbane Airport
- All trains from Eagle Junction will depart 13 minutes earlier than the normal timetable. Please click here to see the special timetable for this date.
- Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch the train to Eagle Junction station where customer will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting ALL stops train to your destination.
- Train will arrive 9 minutes later from Altandi station, 4 minutes later from Loganlea station and 1 minute later between Beenleigh and Varsity Lakes than a normal timetable.
- Brisbane City travel:
- If you are travelling to Roma Street station, disembark at Eagle Junction station to catch an express rail replacement bus to your destination.
- If you are travelling to Fortitude Valley and Central stations, disembark at Eagle Junction station to catch the rail replacement bus to Bowen Hills station and transfer to a connecting train to your destination.

- Shorncliffe and Redcliffe Peninsula travel: Change trains at Northgate station to your destination station.
- Doomben travel: Change trains at Eagle Junction station.
- Ferny Grove travel: Disembark at Eagle Junction station to catch a rail replacement to Bowen Hills station and catch a connecting train to your destination.
- Cleveland, Springfield, Ipswich and Rosewood travel: Disembark at Eagle Junction station to catch the rail replacement bus to Bowen Hills station and catch a connecting train to your destination.
TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
