Track work on the Brisbane City and the Gold Coast Line

All Airtrain services to and from the Brisbane City and the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Bowen Hills and Roma Street to Corinda, Cannon Hill and Banoon stations on Saturday 22^nd and Sunday 23^rd February 2025.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch all stops train to Banoon station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport. Alternatively, customers can catch a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station to catch a connecting train to the Airport. The train will run via express via Exhibition loop.
  • • Train will depart 5 minutes later between Varsity Lakes and Ormeau stations, 7 minutes later from Beenleigh station, 10 minutes later from Loganlea station and 15 minutes later from Altandi station than a normal timetable.
• Brisbane City travel: The train will run express via Exhibition loop between Roma Street and Albion stations. Train will depart a minute later than a normal timetable between Albion and Domestic stations.
  • If you are traveling from Central and Fortitude Valley station, catch a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • If you are traveling from South Brisbane, Southbank, and Park Road stations, catch a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • If you are traveling from Bowen Hills station, catch the train to Albion station and changes train for a connecting train to the Airport.
  • If you are traveling from other Brisbane City stations, these services are not impacted.
• Cleveland travel: Catch the train to Cannon Hill station, then transfer to rail replacement bus to travel to Roma Street station for a connecting train to the Airport.
• Springfield, Ipswich, and Rosewood travel: Catch the train to Corinda station, then transfer to a rail replacement bus to travel to Roma Street station for a connecting train to the Airport.
• Ferny Grove travel: Catch the train to Bowen Hills station and change train to travel to Albion station for a connecting train to the Airport.
• All other services are not impacted.

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: The train will run express via Exhibition loop between Albion and Roma Street station. Catch the train to Eagle Junction station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination. Alternatively, customers can catch a train to Roma Street station for a rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination.
  • • Train will arrive 9 minutes earlier at Altandi station, 4 minutes earlier at Loganlea station and a minute earlier between Beenleigh and Varsity Lakes stations than a normal timetable.
• Brisbane City travel: The train will run express via Exhibition loop between Albion and Roma Street station.
  • If you are traveling to Central and Fortitude Valley station, catch the train to Roma Street station and transfer to a rail replacement bus to your destination.
  • If you are traveling to South Brisbane, Southbank, and Park Road stations, catch the train to Roma Street station and transfer to a rail replacement bus to your destination.
  • If you are traveling to Bowen Hills station, catch a train to Albion station and change train to travel to your destination.
  • If you are traveling to other Brisbane City stations, these services are not impacted.

• Cleveland travel: Catch the train to Roma Street station, transfer to a rail replacement bus between Roma Street and Cannon Hill station and change to the train service to travel to your destination.
• Springfield, Ipswich, and Rosewood travel: Catch the train service to Roma Street station, transfer to a rail replacement bus between Roma Street and Corinda station and change to the train service to travel to your destination.
• Ferny Grove travel: Catch the train to Albion station and change train to travel to Bowen Hills station for a connecting train to your destination.

• All other services are not impacted.

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to   you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
