This year Suncorp has an exciting line-up of world-class entertainment. Catch some of the biggest names in Australian sport and some massive international musical acts in once-in-a-lifetime events, all hosted in the heart of Brisbane city.
Here are some of the most exciting Suncorp Stadium events coming up in 2022.
Sport
NRL
Suncorp Stadium is the home of the Brisbane Broncos, and hosts regular clashes between the elite NRL side and visiting teams.
But this 13th – 15th of May, the Magic Round is heading to Brisbane! That means every team and every game will be all in the one location, and you can watch live and in person. Catch every match of Round 10 of the NRL Telstra Premiership Season over an action-packed weekend at Suncorp.

State of Origin
So big it deserves its own category, the biggest clash in Australian Rugby League has got to be the iconic Queensland vs New South Wales series. Game I will be held at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on the 8th of June, with Game II at the Optus Stadium in Perth on the 26th of June.
But on the 13th of July, the final round is coming to Brisbane! Suncorp will host the last of the three games, which is always action-packed with either a thrilling decider or one team fighting desperately to avoid a three-game whitewash.

Rugby Union
Super Pacific Rugby
Suncorp Stadium is also home to the Queensland Reds Rugby Union team. This year in the Super Pacific Rugby the Reds have had a fantastic season, and have a few home games left for fans to come along and enjoy.

International Rugby
Suncorp is proud to host the finest rugby union teams from all over the world, and this July will see two of the best going head to head in an international clash. England is heading for Australia, for a series of three matches. July 7th will see the two nations collide in an epic event at Suncorp Stadium. Tickets are available here.
Nitro World Games
Over two adrenaline-packed days on the 22nd and 23rd of October, the Nitro World Games has the world’s best top athletes competing in the biggest action sports event of 2022. Created by Nitro Circus and Travis Pastrana, Nitro World Games will show never before seen tricks and stunts as the elite competitors battle it out. In categories such as BMX triple hit, Scooter best trick, FMX, and many more, it’s an unmissable event that will have you on the edge of your seat, the whole night. One and two day passes are available.
Music
Guns ‘n Roses
The biggest rock music tour of 2021 is now the highlight of 2022! Originally postponed, this year will see one of the world’s best rock bands performing live at Suncorp Stadium on the 22nd of November. Ticket holders from the postponed tour will still have access to the same seats, and extra tickets can be purchased through Ticketek.
Justin Bieber
It’s his first major tour since 2017, and Justin Bieber is coming to Brisbane. On a massive tour across 20 countries and 5 continents, the major star will be performing at Suncorp Stadium on the 3rd of December. Tickets will be available to general ticket holders from the 24th of November.
Getting to Suncorp Stadium for Events
Public transport is your best option to get to Suncorp Stadium. Get from the Brisbane airport right into the heart of the city in just 20 minutes with Airtrain. If you’re up for a short walk, then disembark from Airtrain at Roma Street station where the stadium is just a stroll away.
After your Airtrain journey, all further public transport to the stadium is free with your ticket. There are time restrictions though – travel within four hours of the game’s kick off, and four hours after the final whistle for this deal to apply.
You could change trains and head to Milton Station to get a bit closer, or there are plenty of buses that will drop you right outside the stadium. Just check out Translink’s Journey Planner to work out the best way to arrive.
Spending Time in Brisbane
While you’re in Brisbane, short term visitors should check out the go seeQ card, which allows you unlimited travel for three or five consecutive days on buses, trains, ferries, and trams. It also includes two Airtrain journeys to/from the Brisbane Airport.
For longer stays, travel like the locals with a go card – just touch on at your station of departure and touch off when you arrive at your destination.
