Run for the good times at the Gold Coast Marathon. On July 5th and 6th the Gold Coast Marathon will be celebrating its 45th year as a world class international milestone. Famous for its flat, fast and scenic course alongside the renowned surf beaches of the GC, there’s a variety of races for participants of all ages and abilities to take part in or just spectate.

If you’re heading to this year’s Gold Coast Marathon, use the Airtrain & Tram connection for a seamless journey taking you all the way to the start line at Southport, with just a quick change at Helensvale Station.

From the first service on Saturday 21 June to last service Sunday 22 June 2025, there is a full track closure between the Airport, Brisbane City, & Northern Lines for essential track maintenance.

Timetabled railbuses will be replacing trains in both directions between Bowen Hills and Brisbane Airport.
